Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can I fine-tune this pole to a different length on trail?
No. The product page identifies fixed working lengths in 5 cm steps from 105 through 130 cm. Folding sections pack down; they do not create in-use length adjustment.
Explore this need in the finder →Does it use a push-button folding joint?
Yes. LEKI specifies a Push Button folding system for quick section assembly. Follow the exact instructions to join and inspect the segments; this review does not claim that assembly was tested.
Explore this need in the finder →Are snow baskets listed with the pair?
Yes. LEKI lists both Micro and Tour baskets and describes the included Tour baskets as 70 mm snow baskets. Verify the exact size SKU and offer package before ordering.
Explore this need in the finder →Will a 120 cm version fit a 40 cm pack limit?
The manufacturer lists a 36 cm pack size specifically at 120 cm, which is within a 40 cm maximum. The other fixed-size SKUs do not have separate pack dimensions in the inspected specifications.
Explore this need in the finder →This review reads the U.S. product page and variant feed for the Skytera FX.One SL. It is a source-based assessment, not a report of hiking with the poles or testing the button, grip or basket performance.
A fixed-size folding pole, not an adjustable pole
LEKI lists six separate sizes: 105, 110, 115, 120, 125 and 130 cm, each with its own SKU in the natural-carbon, white and neon-orange colorway. The source calls the construction foldable and fixed length. That means you choose the working length before purchase; folding the sections makes the pole easier to carry but does not let you change its hiking length between climbs and descents.
The distinction is important because the family spans 105–130 cm without any one unit providing that entire adjustable range. The 120 cm version, SKU 65620641120, is one specific option. The 130 cm version, SKU 65620641130, is another. A shopper's actual fit should be checked with footwear, grip position and normal terrain before selecting a fixed size. Pole-length charts are starting points, not a substitute for a stance check.
Folding and setup
The four carbon sections use LEKI's Push Button system for assembly. This is a clear reason to distinguish the FX.One SL from folding poles whose upper section also slides to adjust working length. Button-operated folding is not the same as a length lock. The product page describes the system as a light assembly mechanism; this assessment makes no independent claim about assembly speed, strength or ease for a particular user. Follow the exact manufacturer's deployment and inspection instructions, and check that each section is correctly joined before loading a pole.
For the 120 cm SKU, the published packed length is 36 cm. This is a compellingly short listed dimension for a pole that reaches a fixed 120 cm in use, but the page pairs that figure only with 120 cm. It should not be projected onto the 105, 110, 115, 125 or 130 cm sizes. If packed length is a hard limit, ask for the dimension of the precise size you intend to buy rather than assuming a family-level number applies to all.
What the specifications do and do not say
LEKI lists carbon shaft sections, a Verticon grip, a D-Loop mesh security strap and a carbide Flex Tip. Per-pole weights vary by selected size from 144 g at 105 cm to 167 g at 130 cm, with the intermediate values shown in the manufacturer's specification table. These are the maker's published values and are not independent measurements. The page does not classify the Verticon grip as EVA or rubber, so a material-based preference remains unconfirmed.
The package list names both Micro and Tour baskets, and the product description identifies the included Tour type as a 70 mm snow basket. This supports the stated inclusion for the documented SKU family, while a buyer should still confirm that an exact seller package has not been altered. Basket inclusion does not prove that the size is right for a particular person's technique or snow conditions, and it does not replace appropriate winter equipment.
Compare with adjustable and earlier alternatives
The FX Carbon SL Compact has a separate 100–120 cm working adjustment and a 39 cm listed pack size, but its specifications list only a Micro basket. The standard Skytera FX Carbon SL is adjustable from 110 to 130 cm, also with a four-section carbon folding construction. Those models show why “folding” alone does not explain reach or included equipment.
The past-season SKYSOLO FX.ONE CARBON is a distinct earlier assessment, not another size of this pole. It has a separate SKU family and a different basket specification. Keep the exact suffix and size code visible when comparing listings with similar names.
Buying checks and limitations
This model is worth assessing when a fixed working length suits your routine and the button-operated folding form is the feature you want. It is a poor match for someone who must make in-use length changes or who needs a proven pack dimension for a non-120 cm version. Grip material is not identified at the level of the questionnaire's EVA or rubber choices. No integrated shock system is established by the reviewed page; an essential shock requirement should not be inferred from carbon construction or a particular basket.
Before selecting an offer, verify the full FX.One SL name, exact SKU and fixed length; check that the Tour snow baskets and Micro baskets are included; and verify the pack measurement for the size you choose. Read the current assembly instructions, inspect the button joint and tip compatibility requirements, and check the seller's return conditions. The assessment is not a safety certification, product test, price check or claim of personal experience.
Bottom line
The FX.One SL separates compact storage from adjustable reach: it folds into four sections but is fixed at a chosen size. The 120 cm SKU has a 36 cm published pack size, while the other length-specific configurations need their own dimensional confirmation. The stated carbon shaft, Push Button join and included Micro and Tour baskets make it different from the adjustable FX Carbon SL line. Choose it only after selecting a working length that fits and confirming exact SKU-level package details.
