A useful fit for

A version-specific earlier option for a hiker who has checked a fixed 110–135 cm size and wants carbon folding construction with a push-button ELD. LEKI publishes a 37 cm pack size only for the 120 cm listing; inclusion in the shortlist requires choosing to include earlier models.

The main tradeoff

The pole cannot be adjusted in use; choose the fixed SKU that suits your fit. The page lists only a Micro basket, not the Tour snow baskets on the separate current listing. The 37 cm pack dimension is specific to the 120 cm size. This past-season white-black-orange SKU family is not interchangeable with the separate current neonorange-white-black version, whose listed range ends at 130 cm and whose basket set differs.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

How do I include the past-season version in a shortlist?

Select Include earlier models. The reviewed page explicitly names this SKU family Past Season; the default current-model-only view intentionally leaves it out.

Explore this need in the finder →
Does this model fold with a push-button join?

Yes. LEKI identifies ELD as an External Locking Device released with a button, while the listed working length is fixed. It folds for carrying but does not become length-adjustable in use.

Explore this need in the finder →
Will the 120 cm past-season size fit a 40 cm compartment?

LEKI specifies 37 cm at 120 cm for this edition, which is within a 40 cm ceiling. The page does not provide a size-by-size pack length for every other fixed SKU, so do not extend this value to them.

Explore this need in the finder →
Does this exact edition include snow baskets?

The past-season specifications list a Micro basket only; they do not list the Tour basket shown on the current version. Treat snow-basket inclusion as unconfirmed for this edition and check the exact seller package.

This assessment concerns LEKI's explicitly labelled Past Season white-black-orange SKYSOLO FX.ONE CARBON listing. It is separate from the current neonorange-white-black listing using a similar model name. The review is based on the two manufacturer's pages and feeds, not on personal use or field testing.

Earlier fixed sizes, not an adjustable range

The past-season feed lists six size-specific SKUs from 110 through 135 cm in 5 cm steps. The product page calls the construction fixed length and foldable. Each selected size is its own working length; the family does not slide between 110 and 135 cm on trail. A fixed pole may fold for storage, so the two terms are not contradictory. This is important for buyers who are used to an adjustable upper section: choose a size only after checking stance, footwear and ordinary terrain.

The older specification identifies four shaft segments, carbon (PRC 1000), a Verticon grip, D-Loop mesh security strap, Flex Tip and carbide spike. It also describes the ELD (External Locking Device) as a button-operated release for joining or releasing the pole's tension. That supports the questionnaire's folding-button choice, but does not turn a fixed-size pole into a working-length-adjustable model. Follow the maker's setup instructions rather than assuming that the button acts like a length clamp.

The page's marketing description speaks of folding in three short sections, while the formal specification lists four shaft segments. This assessment retains the structured segment count and treats the prose wording as an imprecise description of the folded arrangement rather than a second count to match against. LEKI lists a 37 cm pack size specifically for the 120 cm pole; it does not provide this same measurement for each of the other fixed sizes in the assessed table.

Why the season suffix matters

The page title includes “Past Season,” and the product feed tags the item as an outlet listing. This is therefore marked as an earlier version in the finder; it is excluded from the default current-model-only results and appears when the visitor chooses to include earlier models. That flag describes the manufacturer's version label, not current stock or a claim that every older unit is used or unavailable.

LEKI also lists a separate current SKYSOLO FX.ONE CARBON in neonorange-white-black. Its feed uses a different SKU family and the current page gives a 110–130 cm size span, 34–39 cm pack-size range, Micro and Tour baskets, and a folding-pole bag. The past-season page instead lists 110–135 cm, gives the 37 cm figure at 120 cm, and specifies a Micro basket without the Tour set in its specification table. These are material differences in size range and supplied equipment, not a mere color change. This review does not merge the two records or apply the current package details to the past-season SKUs.

Basket and grip limitations

The reviewed past-season specification names a Micro basket. It does not list the Tour snow basket shown with the newer listing; Snowflake and other baskets appear among add-on products rather than in the old package list. For the assessment, snow-basket inclusion is not established for this earlier edition. If a specific basket is required, inspect the package for the exact fixed-size SKU or ask the seller to identify the supplied parts.

The product page names a Verticon grip but does not state that the material is EVA or rubber. Grip composition is left unclassified instead of inferred from a photo or brand vocabulary. The page's weight table lists 174, 178, 181, 184, 188 and 191 g per pole for the six sizes in order. These are manufacturer-listed values, not independent weights, and the longest option is not interchangeable with the shorter 120 cm choice simply because both are in one family.

Who might compare it

An earlier-model comparison may make sense for a shopper who deliberately includes past-season configurations, wants a foldable fixed pole, and has verified one of its 110–135 cm lengths. The one documented 120 cm packing figure is 37 cm, but buyers of another size should obtain that size's dimension rather than extrapolate. The design is not a match for someone who must adjust length during a hike or requires confirmed snow baskets in the exact package.

For a current button-operated fixed alternative, the Skytera FX.One SL has separate 105–130 cm SKUs and a 36 cm pack size stated at 120 cm, and its page lists Micro and Tour baskets. That newer model has different facts. Compare their exact size and accessory records; do not use one review as evidence about the other's contents.

Before considering an older offer

Confirm that the product is the white-black-orange past-season edition and match the SKU to the fixed size. Check for the listed 120 cm pack dimension only when buying that 120 cm variant, and verify the actual packed length for any other size. Inspect the button joint, cord or tension parts, shaft sections, tip and basket condition if considering a prior-season or secondhand unit; this is a practical purchase check, not a claim that a flaw exists. Confirm the exact pair quantity, instructions, return terms and seller description.

The assessment does not establish price, availability, used condition, warranty eligibility or seller quality. It does not claim personal ownership, assembly or travel testing. A match indicates documented requirements only and cannot validate safety or personal fit.

Bottom line

The Past Season SKYSOLO FX.ONE CARBON is a distinct earlier, fixed-length folding carbon pole with a push-button ELD and six sizes through 135 cm. The 37 cm pack figure belongs to its 120 cm option, and the page lists Micro baskets rather than the newer version's Tour basket set. Keep “earlier” selected deliberately and verify the exact size and package; a similar current product title is not enough to substitute configuration evidence.
